The Northwest Missouri State University Bearcat football team will raise awareness for mental health services by wearing 988 helmet stickers for Saturday's home game against the University of Central Oklahoma.

Bearcat players will have stickers on their helmets to promote 988, the national phone number providing people with access to mental health crisis services. The Bearcats and Bronchos kick off at 1:30 p.m. Saturday at Bearcat Stadium.

988 is available via text, phone call or chat to get support from trained crisis counselors, who are available 24/7 to anyone experiencing a mental health or substance use crisis or any other emotional distress.
