Northwest Missouri State University senior defensive lineman
Clayton Power has been named the MIAA Defensive Athlete of the Week.

With Northwest holding a 14-7 lead, Power read a screen play from the Lions and gained his first career interception at the MSSU 37-yard line. Power's interception set up Northwest with a short field and led to a 25-yard touchdown pass to
Dominic Myers with 3:19 to play that gave the Bearcats a two-score advantage.
Power also had three tackles on the day as Northwest limited Missouri Southern to 75 rushing yards.
Northwest (3-1 overall, 2-0 MIAA) will play host to No. 15-ranked Central Oklahoma (2-1 overall, 2-0 MIAA) Saturday at 1:30 p.m. at Bearcat Stadium.
