The Northwest Missouri State University women's tennis team completed action Saturday at the 2025 ITA Central Region Tournament held in Edmond, Okla.
Senior
Miru Nonaka picked up a 6-4, 6-3 win over Augustana's Fernanda Sandoval in the round of 16. Nonaka was knocked off in the quarterfinals by No. 1 seed Pete Komada (Central Oklahoma).
Freshman
Elena Williams posted a 6-0, 6-0 triumph over Central Oklahoma's Brylee Toney in her first Saturday consolation match. Williams then generated a three-set win over Henderson State's Lily Winter by the count of 3-6, 6-3, 1-0 (10-5).
On the doubles side,
Polina Gontaryk and
Elena Williams picked up an 8-5 consolation win over Fort Hays State's Yone Pereiro and Molly Gaddis.
