ST. LOUIS, Mo. - Margaret Madden's second-half goal lifted the Northwest Missouri State University women's soccer team to a 1-0 road win over the University of Missouri-St. Louis Tritons.

Throughout the first half UMSL put up a tough offense against the Bearcats, outshooting Northwest 8-0, with four being on target. Northwest goalkeeper Lily Ellis kept the game scoreless with four saves in the first half.
 
Early in the second half, in the 50th minute, Madden made her fourth career goal, as well as her second career game-winning goal. Madden was assisted by Makenna West. Northwest improved its game in the second half matching the Tritons shot for shot, with both teams having five shots, and three shots on goal. 
 
Ellis provided seven saves in her 28th career shutout, bringing her career total of saves to 282.
