Northwest Missouri State University sophomore
Jadyn Barnes has earned the prestigious distinction of being named to the 2024-25 Academic All-America® women's track and field/cross country teams as selected by College Sports Communicators (CSC).
Barnes (Kearney, Mo.) carries a perfect 4.0 grade point average with a major in dietetics. Barnes had a tremendous season on the track as she gained a pair of NCAA Div. II first-team All-America honors (outdoor 4x400m relay second place; indoor 4x400m relay fifth place) and was a two-time MIAA champion (indoor 4x400m relay; outdoor 4x400m relay). She was a USTFCCCA all-region selection in the indoor 4x400m relay, indoor distance medley relay, outdoor 800m and outdoor 4x400m relay. Barnes holds the second-best mark in school history in the outdoor 800m run (2:08.58). She is also a member of the school-record holding 4x400m relay team (3:32.91) with

The Division II Academic All-America® program is being financially supported by the NCAA Division II national governance structure to assist the College Sports Communicators with handling the awards fulfillment aspects for the 2024-25 Division II Academic All-America® program.
Barnes is the 19th Bearcat track and field/cross country student-athlete to gain Academic All-America honors in program history. She is the 11th Bearcat track and field/cross country Academic All-America choice under the direction of head coach
Brandon Masters.
Overall, Barnes is Northwest's 60th all-time Academic All-America® honoree beginning with Chip Gregory in football in 1981.
