SEWARD, Neb. – Northwest Missouri State University sprinters
Melanie Roland and
Dominic Sedlacek each set new stadium records at the Concordia Twilight.
Roland broke the stadium record in the women's 400-meter dash, while Sedlacek shattered his previous school record and set a new stadium record in the men's 100-meter dash.
RUNNING EVENTS
- (W) 100m Hurdles: Both Grace Hill and Hannah Hatzenbuehler qualified for finals. Hill ran a preliminary time of 14.48, as Hatzenbuehler ran 15.16, the fourth and sixth-fastest times in the field. Hill finished in fourth, clocking in at 14.66, as Hatzenbuehler followed in fifth at 15.06.
- (M) 110m Hurdles: Another pair of Bearcats qualified for finals. Moses Koroma ran the second-quickest qualifying time of 14.17, as Frank Sparks followed at 14.22. Koroma came in at 14.04 for the second meet in a row to take runner-up, while Sparks crossed at 14.25 in third.
- (W) 100m: Hallie Henfling crossed the line at 12.08 in prelims to sit fifth, while Krysta Abel qualified with a 12.17 clocking. Henfling (12.10) and Abel (12.21) finished back-to-back in the fifth and sixth positions.
- (M) 100m: Dominic Sedlacek provided the field's fastest qualifying time at 10.45. Zac Anderson placed 12th with a time of 11.01, respectively. Sedlacek broke through with a 10.29 in finals – breaking his previous school record time of 10.30 and setting a new Bulldog Stadium record held since 2011.
- (M) 200m: Gavyn Monday produced a third-place finish with a clocking of 21.76 as the lone Bearcat in the event.
- (M) 400m: Keith Griffin III took home third place in the event with a time of 47.30, as Logan Arellano claimed the seventh position at 48.09. Christian Lanphier (48.43) and Juan Hernandez (49.07) held down the 11th and 13th places, respectively.
- (W) 400m: Melanie Roland set a new Bulldog Stadium record with a new personal-best time of 53.64 to claim the event crown. Roland's time places her at No. 3 in school history and shatters the stadium record held since 2014.
- (W) 400m Hurdles: Jaedy Commins was edged by less than a half a second in the event. Commins clocked in at 1:00.52 to secure runner-up, as Anjelena Carder placed fourth with a time of 1:00.74.
- (M) 800m: Charlie Kinslow crossed at 1:50.87 to place sixth among 53 competitors.
- (W) 800m: Three Bearcats placed within the top five in the event, led by Marie Dea's first-place finish. Dea came in at 2:10.69, while Federica Lega followed in third at 2:12.32, and Lydia McGlocklin in fourth at 2:12.50.
- (M) 1500m: Brandon Mundorf came in third with a time of 3:55.57.
