EDMOND, Okla. – The Northwest Missouri State University women's golf squad wrapped up its first appearance at the NCAA Div. II Central Regional Tournament with a 12th-place team finish.
 
Northwest had a three-round team total of 891 (296-294-301). Northwest posted 27 birdies, which tied for the sixth-highest total among the 18 teams in the field.
 
Freshman Lauren Briggs posted a top-20 finish to lead the Bearcats in their final round at the KickingBird Golf Course, which played to a par-70 and measured 5,834 yards.
 
Briggs began her final round on hole No. 10. She scored birdies at No. 17, No. 3 and No. 7. Briggs fired a two-under 33 on the backside of her final round 71. Her final-round 71 is tied for the ninth-best single round in program history. Briggs posted a three-round total of 217 (+7) to tie for 18th in the 99-player field. Briggs posted seven birdies in the regional meet.
 
Senior Paige Hoffman capped her illustrious Bearcat career with a final day score of 72. Hoffman carded three birdies in Wednesday's round at No. 17, No. 4 and No. 5. Hoffman had eight birdies to tie for the ninth-most birdies in the 54-hole event. Hoffman tied for 24th in the field with a three-round total of 218 (+8).
 
Senor Madilyne Schlaepfer finished her collegiate golf experience in style with a birdie on her final hole Schlaepfer shot a final-round 75 (+5) for a three-round score of 222 (+12). Schlaepfer tallied seven birdies in the tournament.
