SIOUX FALLS, S.D. – The top-seeded Augustana Vikings ousted the fifth-seeded Northwest Missouri State University women's tennis team in the NCAA Central Regional final, 4-1.

The Vikings ran their win streak to 12 in a row and improved to 18-4 on the season. Northwest caps its season at 16-9 overall for head coach
Mark Rosewell. Augustana gained its second win over Northwest this season after posting a 4-2 dual win back on Feb. 20.

The Vikings were able to gain a 1-0 lead in the dual by pulling off wins at No. 1 and No. 3 doubles. Northwest's No. 2 doubles duo of
Miru Nonaka and
Alva Norberg moved to 14-1 on the year with a 6-2 victory over Augie's pairing of Gabriela Jancikova and Mia Garcia.

Nonaka leveled the match at 1-1 with a 6-3, 6-2 victory at No. 5 singles over Augie's No. 63-ranked Smilte Bakyte. Nonaka gained her 17th singles win and improved to 17-6 in dual play. Nonaka is 11-2 at No. 5 singles.

Augie took a 2-1 lead at No. 6 singles with a 6-3, 6-3 victory from Simon-Maria Karaouza over Northwest's
Camilla Franzin.

The Vikings took a 3-1 advantage with a 6-3, 6-4 triumph from Fernanda Sandoval against Northwest's
Polina Gontaryk at No. 3 singles.

Augie clinched the dual title with a 7-6 (7-4), 6-4 win at No. 2 singles from Mia Garcia over Norberg.

Marielena Muench led her match with Augie's Nicole Catherine Dufour 6-3, 6-6 at No. 1 singles when it was stopped. Northwest's
Carolina Oliveira had split sets with Augie's Gabriela Jancikova at No. 4 singles, 7-6 (7-4), 4-6 when it was halted.
