Koroma caps Bearcats’ regular season with school record at Loper Twilight

KEARNEY, Neb.  – The Northwest Missouri State University outdoor track and field teams capped its outdoor regular season at the Loper Twilight with numerous personal-best performances, including Moses Koroma's school record-breaking time in the men's 110-meter hurdles, surpassing a mark that had stood since 2009.
 
RUNNING EVENTS
  • (M) 100m: Zac Anderson posted a time of 10.75 to finish ninth among 14 competitors in the finals-only section.
  • (W) 100m: Campbell Barta (11.62) and Jaurdin Mallory (11.67) sprinted to a dominant one-two finish, while Krysta Abel secured sixth place with a time of 12.32.
  • (M) 200m: Dominic Sedlacek added to his standout weekend by recording the fourth-fastest 200m time in program history, finishing third with a provisional mark of 21.11. Juan Hernandez placed 13th with a 21.95 showing.
  • (W) 200m: Kyah Luhring claimed runner-up honors with a time of 24.36, marking the eighth-fastest performance in Northwest history.
  • (M) 400m: Keith Griffin III captured another event title for the Bearcats, crossing the line in 47.15.
  • (W) 800m: Lydia McGlocklin led a strong Bearcat showing with a second-place finish in 2:08.98, followed by Marie Dea in third (2:11.15) and Federica Lega in fifth (2:12.97).
  • (M) 110m Hurdles: Moses Koroma broke a program record that had stood since 2009, clocking a blistering 13.99 to finish second. Frank Sparks followed in third with a time of 14.24.
  • (W) 100m Hurdles: Grace Hill turned in a personal-best time of 14.24 to finish third, a mark that ranks fourth all-time at Northwest. Hannah Hatzenbuehler came in sixth at 14.70.
  • (W) 400m Hurdles: Anjelena Carder posted Northwest's fifth-best mark in history with a winning time of 1:00.17 – a personal-best. Jaedy Commins checked in at 1:00.95 to claim fourth.

The Bearcats venture out to Pueblo, Colo., to take on the 2025 NCAA Division II Outdoor National Championships set for Thursday, May 22 through Saturday, May 24.
