Northwest Missouri State University men's tennis sophomore
Dominik Wijntjes has risen to No. 15 in singles in the latest Intercollegiate Tennis Association national rankings.
Bearcat women's players
Alva Norberg and
Marielena Muench each maintained a top-75 national ranking. Norberg is ranked No. 49 and Muench is No. 72 in the women's singles national rankings.
Wijntjes moved up six slots to No. 15 this week as he produced three more wins last week. Wijntjes has won nine straight dual matches and has gone 15-2 in dual play this spring. He is 8-2 at No. 1 singles and 7-0 at No. 2 singles. Wijntjes is 17-3 overall this season. Wijntjes has not lost a GAC/MIAA dual as he sits at 6-0 in league singles play.
Norberg slipped down six spots to No. 49 in the singles rankings. Norberg is 12-5 overall, including a 10-4 mark this spring in dual play. Norberg is 3-2 at No. 2 singles, 5-2 at No. 3 singles and 2-0 at No. 4 singles.
Muench dropped one slot to No. 72. Muench is 10-7 overall and 7-6 at No. 1 singles this spring.
The Bearcat women are 7-7 overall and 2-1 in MIAA play.
The Northwest men are 10-7 overall and 5-1 in GAC/MIAA dual matches.
