Northwest Missouri State University baseball (22-24, 16-17 MIAA) is set to host Emporia State (23-21, 16-17 MIAA) in its final home MIAA regular season series, beginning Thursday, May 1, at Bearcat Baseball Field.
Northwest enters the weekend in a three-way tie with Emporia State and Rogers State in the current MIAA standings.Â
The Bearcats will honor 17 members of the 2025 senior class during Senior Day on Saturday.

ABOUT THE HORNETS - (23-21, 16-17 MIAA)
Northwest and Emporia State are in a three-way battle a week ahead of the MIAA Tournament next weekend in Joplin, Mo – Rogers State. The Hornets secured their sixth series victory last weekend against Arkansas-Fort Smith. Emporia State is 9-10 on the road on the year.
The Hornets have cranked the second-most homeruns in the league (68) – No. 16 nationally, led by junior Noah Steele's 15.Â

SERIES HISTORY
ESU leads the all-time series, 67-44 – this will be the 112th meeting. At Bearcat Baseball Field, Northwest is 22-20, however the Hornets took last season's home series 2-1 on Feb. 23 – Feb. 25.Â

BEARCAT LEADERS
- Dylan Hufft continues to pace the Bearcats with a .356 batting average (.447 SLG%). He has recorded a team-high 67 hits, including nine doubles and four triples, for a total of 84 bases. Hufft also leads the team with 20 multi-hit games.
- Ashton Neuman has drawn the most walks (48) – No. 2 nationally, contributing to a team-best .485 on-base percentage. Neuman bats .290/.512 with 47 hits, 43 RBIs, and a tied for a team-lead nine homers.
- Kaehukai Young leads the team with 55 RBIs (No. 4 in MIAAA) and shares a team in home runs (9) with Neuman. Young's hitting .306/.526. Young has tallied 15 multi- hit games this season.Â
- Ryan Williams is batting .324/.517 with 57hits, including 16 doubles and six home runs. His 16 doubles rank fifth in the MIAA. Williams is also Northwest's career walks leader with 112.
- Ben Haug anchors the pitching staff, logging 68 2/3 innings and 73 strikeouts—good for third in the MIAA. He's thrown a pair of shutouts this season including a three-hit, 14-strikeout gem against Newman on April 12.Â

- Northwest has drawn 240 walks this season, second-most in program history.
- The Bearcats have tallied 397 hits, including 48 home runs (8th in MIAA), five triples, and 82 doubles (6th in MIAA).
