Bearcats blaze to Bryan Clay Invitational relay records

The Northwest Missouri State outdoor track and field team closed out its California trip in style, setting two meet records at the Bryan Clay Invitational in the men's 4x100-meter relay and the women's 4x400-meter relay.

Riley Witt marked another school-record performance, this time in the 1500-meter run.

FIELD EVENTS
  • (M) Long Jump: Frank Sparks recorded a mark of 7.11m (23-04.00) to place 7th out of 39 competitors.

RUNNING EVENTS
  • (M) 1500m Open C: Charlie Kinslow finished 12th in his section, clocking a time of 3:55.76.
  • (M) 400m: Three Bearcats lined up in a field of 61. Keith Griffin III led the trio with a 17th-place finish at 48.03, followed by Gavyn Monday in 23rd (48.38) and Christian Lanphier in 40th (49.27).
  • (W) 400m: Melanie Roland ran a personal-best time of 54.04 to claim 3rd place, while Chloe Saenz (54.56) and Tiffany Hughey (54.62) followed closely in 6th and 7th, respectively.
  • (W) 100m: Campbell Barta and Jaurdin Mallory returned to action in the 100-meter dash. Barta placed 26th (12.04), while Mallory finished 49th (12.38).
  • (M) 110m Hurdles: Moses Koroma placed 8th overall with a time of 14.12, a new personal-best that ranks second all-time in school history.
  • (W) 400m Hurdles: Jaedy Commins raced to a time of 1:00.84, earning a 12th-place finish among 53 competitors.
  • (W) 1500m Open B: Olivia Bakker led the Bearcats with a time of 4:35.19, placing 25th, while Mayson Hartley crossed in 58th (4:37.78).
  • (M) 1500m Invite: Riley Witt clocked in at another school record - broke 800m record last night. Witt's time of 3:42.48 earned him a 34th place finish in the event. 
  • (W) 1500m Open A: *Results not yet reported
RELAYS ULV LEOPARD INVITATIONAL
  • (W) 100m Hurdles (Finals): Grace Hill claimed the event title with a time of 14.52, while Hannah Hatzenbuehler secured 3rd place in 15.07, as the Bearcats went 1-3 in the finals heat.
