The Northwest Missouri State baseball team (19-20, 13-13 MIAA) is set to travel to Edmond, Okla., for a weather-adjusted weekend series against Central Oklahoma at Wendell Simmons Field.
The series will now open with a single game at 3 p.m. on Thursday, April 17. The Bearcats and Bronchos will wrap things up with a doubleheader on Friday, April 18, beginning at Noon.
Following the series in Edmond, Northwest will hit the road again for a midweek matchup against Missouri Western. First pitch is scheduled for 2 p.m., on Tuesday, April 22, in St. Joseph, Mo.Â

ALL-TIME SERIES VS. CENTRAL OKLAHOMA
Northwest trails Central Oklahoma 10-22 in the all-time series, including a 7-19 record in games played in Edmond. The Bronchos claimed last year's series, taking two out of three games from the Bearcats.
Central Oklahoma enters the weekend at 29-12 overall and 19-10 in MIAA play, currently sitting fourth in the conference standings. The Bronchos are looking to bounce back after being swept by Central Missouri and dropping a 7-5 decision to Rogers State on Tuesday.

SO FAR THIS SEASON
- Dylan Hufft continues to lead the Bearcats at the plate with a .344 batting average, which ranks among the top 10 in the MIAA. He has recorded 55 hits, including nine doubles and three triples, and has totaled 70 bases through 39 starts this season. Hufft has totaled 16 multi-hit games this season – leads team.Â
- Ashton Neuman ranks second nationally and first in the MIAA with 44 walks, contributing to a team-best .492 on-base percentage. Neuman is batting .296 on the year with 40 hits, 38 RBIs, and is tied for the team lead with eight home runs.
- Hufft, Neuman, and Ryan Williams have started all 39 games for the Bearcats this season, providing consistency at the top of the lineup.
- Kaehukai Young leads Northwest with 49 RBIs and shares the team lead in home runs with Neuman at eight. Young is hitting .318 with a .550 slugging percentage. Young holds an 11-game hitting streak, and has reached base safely in 11-straight contests.Â
- Williams is also batting .318, collecting 47 hits, 15 doubles, and six home runs. His 15 doubles rank third in the MIAA.
- On the mound, Ben Haug earned MIAA Pitcher of the Week honors last week. Haug (4-3) leads the team with 55 1/3 innings pitched and 58 strikeouts. He has thrown two shutouts this season, including a dominant three-hit, 14-strikeout performance against Newman.
- As a team, Northwest leads the MIAA in walks drawn (207) and ranks fifth in both total runs scored (308) and scoring average (7.9 runs per game).
