KEARNEY, Neb. – The Northwest Missouri State University women's golf team produced the highest finish in program history by taking outright second place at the 2025 MIAA Championship held at Meadowlark Hills Golf Course.
 
The Bearcats shot a third-round team score of 303 to give them a three-round total of 938. Central Missouri won the team title with a 54-hole total of 916. Northwest's previous best finish at the MIAA Championship meet came with a trio of third-place finishes in 2012, 2013 and 2014.
 
The Bearcats had four top-20 finishes, including a tie for eight by senior Madilyne Schlaepfer in the 68-player field.
 
Madilyne Schlaepfer shot a final round 78 for a three-round total of 233 (+20) to tie for eighth place in the final standings. Schlapefer gained birdies at No. 2 and No. as she opened with a 37 on the front nine.
 
Lexi Bartley posted a third-round score of 75. Bartley tied for 11th in the tournament with a 54-hole total of 234. Bartley posted birdies at No. 6 and No. 9 as she tallied a 37 on her front nine score on Tuesday.
 
Paige Hoffman tallied a final round score of even par-71, which is tied for the ninth-best single round in Bearcat history. Hoffman had birdies at No. 2 and No. 5 en route to an ever-par score of 36 on her front nine. Hoffman posted nine straight pars on the back nine. Hoffman's three-round total of 234 (+21) put her in a tie for 11th-place finish in the tournament.
 
Lauren Briggs finished in a tie for 20th place. Briggs carded a final round 79. Briggs birdied the opening hole as she scored 39 on the front nine on Tuesday. Briggs had a three-round total of 237.
