MARYVILLE, Mo. – The first spring game under the direction of head coach
John McMenamin featured the White squad scoring a 21-17 victory over the Green squad as the Northwest Missouri State University football team wrapped up its 2025 spring drills.

Dominic Myers got the scoring underway with a 25-yard touchdown run for the White squad. Myers carried the ball seven times for 46 yards on the day.

Te'Shaun Porter leveled the score at 7-7 with a 16-yard rushing touchdown. Porter had seven carries for 35 yards for the Green squad

Kaden Kiernan had a 49-yard field goal to end the first half to give the Green squad a 10-7 advantage.

Kansas State transfer
Erwin Nash caught a 12-yard touchdown pass from
Zechariah Owens to life the Green squad to a 17-7 lead. Nash had two catches on the day for 23 yards.

Karsten Pate pulled the White squad to within 17-14 on a three-yard touchdown run on an end-around. Pate also caught three passes for 38 yards.

Cael Turner hit
Tyus Jackson for a 17-yard touchdown pass with 44 seconds left to give the White squad a 21-17 victory. Turner went 5-of-7 passing on the day for 105 yards and the touchdown to Jackson.

Northwest will open the 2025 season Aug. 28 at Minnesota State. Northwest's first home game of the season is set for Sept. 13 in a non-conference matchup with Texas A&M-Kingsville.
