ALL-TIME SERIES VS. ROGERS STATE
Rogers State owns an 8-4 series lead. Northwest dropped the first two games of last year's series, winning game three 11-9 on March 23.

ABOUT THE HILLCATS
  • RSU comes into Maryville with a 17-9 overall record and a 7-7 mark in MIAA play. The Hillcats recently dropped their midweek battle with Arkansas-Fort Smith, 8-6, on Tuesday. RSU has come out victorious in just two of its last six contests, taking one game each from Central Missouri and Emporia State.
  • Behind the dish, Weston Peninger leads the team with a .381 average from the plate on 32 hits – seven doubles and five home runs. Infielder Andrew Ramirez has clobbered a team-high seven long-balls, also with 32 RBIs on the season.
  • Not too many mistakes defensively from the Hillcats, who rank 10th in Division II in fielding percentage (.981), sitting just behind Central Oklahoma in the MIAA.
  • RSU's bullpen is led by southpaw Colton Anderson (5-1), who leads the team with a 3.35 ERA through 40 1/3 innings pitched. Anderson has struck out 43 opposing batters with teams' hitting just .186 on the season.

PREVIOUSLY WITH THE MULES
Not too long ago on March 18, the Bearcats secured their first top 5 win since 2021, and their first home win against the Mules since 2018 in a 6-3 triumph. Brock Steggall tossed seven complete innings, allowing just six hits and three runs. Steggall notched a career-high seven strike outs in his third win of the 2025 season. Northwest used strong fourth and fifth innings to total its six total runs, led by Brady Miles' two-run homer to spark the run.

Since the two teams' last matchup, UCM has won three-of-four games, with a top MIAA battle coming this weekend against Fort Hays State.
