MARYVILLE, Mo. – The Northwest Missouri State indoor track and field teams secured seven individual titles on the final day of the 2025 MIAA Indoor Championships at Hughes Fieldhouse.
Both the Bearcat men (119 points) and women (112 points) earned runner-up team finishes. The men's team achieved its highest finish since 2019, while the women secured second place for the fourth consecutive season. The men's 119-point team total also marked the highest in program history.
Across the championship meet, the Bearcats claimed a total of nine event titles and set three school records, three MIAA meet records, and one Hughes Fieldhouse record.

FIELD EVENTS
(M) Triple Jump:
David Parker II placed 13th with his second finals' jump of 13.67 meters (44-10.25).Â

RUNNING EVENTS
(W) Mile:
Alyna Thibault started off the Bearcats in scoring with a third-place finish, crossing the line at 4:55.65, as both
Whitney Post and
Olivia Bakker posted top eight finishes. Post (5th) came in at 4:57.05 and Bakker (8th), who won the first heat, crossed at 5:01.11.
(M) Mile: Spectacular race down the stretch, as
Riley Witt had the upper edge entering the final curve, but was edged out near the tail end, coming in as MIAA runner-up with a time of 4:10.12.
Grayson Tapp wasn't too far behind, placing 4th with a time of 4:11.09.Â
(W) 60m Hurdles:
Grace Hill claimed 5th with a mark of 8.83, as
Hannah Hatzenbuehler took 7th at 8.91.Â
(M) 60m Hurdles:
Moses Koroma claimed MIAA runner-up, hundredths of a second behind the title, at 7.83 – Koroma holds the school record time of 7.79, ran on Feb. 15.
Frank Sparks ran a personal best time that now sits as the fourth-fastest time in Northwest history, placing 7th at 8.06.Â
(W) 60m:
Campbell Barta sparked a new personal best time of 7.56, placing 5th, while
Lexie Gilbert came in 7th at 7.60. Missouri Southern's Joy Udo-Gabriel took the top spot, setting a new all-time Division II mark at 7.13.Â
(M) 60m: All eight finalists crossed the line within seven one-hundredths of a second within one another, as
Dominic Sedlacek came in 5th at 6.72.Â
(W) 400m: Both Bearcats in
Chloe Saenz and
Melanie Roland took the top two places. Saenz crossed at the nation's eighth-fastest mark of 53.90 and Roland followed with a 54.37 – No. 14 in Division II.Â
(M) 400m: Northwest came in the 4th, 6th, and 7th positions in the event.
Prince Griffin paced the trio with a time of 47.27, while
Keith Griffin III ran a personal-best time of 47.64, and
Gavyn Monday at 47.86.Â
(W) 600y:
Jadyn Barnes defended the 600-yard title, clocking in at a time of 1:22.98 to be crowned an MIAA champion.
Federica Lega, who won the first finals' heat, crossed the line at 1:24.42 in 4th place, as
Jaedy Commins followed closely behind at 1:24.54 to claim 5th.Â
(M) 600y:
Logan Arellano secured the 600-yard event sweep, claiming the MIAA title with a time of 1:10.88.
Christian Lanphier took 5th place, crossing the finish line at 1:11.65.Â
(W) 800m:
Marie Dea flew through the event to claim her first career MIAA title as a freshman, setting a new Hughes Fieldhouse record time of 2:08.55 – No. 11 in Division II.
Bree Mauro also ran an excellent race, placing 4th with a time of 2:18.25.Â
(M) 800m:
Riley Witt dethroned teammate
Maxime Touron's 2024 title with a championship time of 1:50.89, as Touron came in 4th at 1:51.49.
Charlie Kinslow sat behind Touron at 1:51.65 in 5th.Â
(W) 200m:
Chloe Saenz nearly picked up her second title of the day, as she ran a blazing 24.04 time in the heat one, but was edged in the second and final heat, coming in as MIAA runner-up.Â
(W) 3000m:
Lydia McGlocklin topped the Northwest record books in the event, claiming an MIAA runner-up finish with a time of 9.44.97 in a tight finish.
Mayson Hartley held 10th place, crossing the time of 10:01.02, as
Ava Gehlen finished in 22nd at 10:54.83.Â
(M) 3000m:
Grant Bradley held off previous MIAA record-holder Ryan Riddle from MSSU and PSU's Mason Strader in a race that featured 29 participants to snatch an MIAA meet record and title with a time of 7:57.71.
Drew Atkins placed behind the close trio in 4th at 8:11.74, as
Barnabe Gabillet finished in 6th at 8:14.64.
Tyler Blay rounded off the quarter of Bearcats that put up points in 8th, crossing the line at 8:16.65.Â

RELAYSÂ
(W) 4x400m:
Chloe Saenz,
Jadyn Barnes,
Anjelena Carder and
Melanie Roland cruised through the relay event, setting a new MIAA meet record with a time of 3:41.35 to claim another MIAA title. The teams' time claimed the crown by three seconds ahead of PSU's 3:44.89, as the mark sits as the eighth-fastest time in Division II this season.Â
(M) 4x400m:

Bentley St. John,
Gavyn Monday and
Keith Griffin III crossed the line at 3:12.77 to place 5th among ten teams.Â
