Men’s DMR posts historic time; Two more Bearcats advance to Championship Saturday

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – The Northwest Missouri State indoor track and field teams added two more athletes to the finals lineup for Championship Saturday on day two of the 2025 NCAA Division II Indoor Championships. 

The Bearcat men's distance medley relay team—featuring Riley Witt, Logan Arellano, Maxime Touron, and Grant Bradley—delivered a historic performance, smashing their own school record with a blistering time of 9:33.06. Their effort secured a national runner-up finish and now ranks as the second-fastest time in NCAA Division II history across all tracks. 
 
NCAA DIVISION II INDOOR CHAMPIONSHIP RESULTS – DAY TWO
(W) 800m:  Junior Lydia McGlocklin secured All-American status with an 11th-place finish, crossing the line at 2:08.94 in Heat 4. Freshman Marie Dea placed 5th in Heat 1, finishing 13th overall with a time of 2:10.05.  
 
(M) 800m: Senior Maxime Touron placed second in Heat 1, earning a spot in Saturday's finals with the fifth-fastest qualifying time of 1:50.50. The top eight qualifiers were separated by less than a second, with Grand Valley State's Samuel Allen leading the field at 1:50.21. Touron's 800-meter final is set for 3:10 p.m. (CT). 
 
(M) 60m Hurdles: Senior Moses Koroma advanced to Saturday's finals after placing second in Heat 3. Koroma's time of 7.88 ranked as the fourth-fastest overall, trailing times of 7.88, 7.86, and 7.70. The 60-meter final is scheduled for 1:55 p.m. (CT).  
 
(M) 200m: Senior Joel Dos Santos finished 3rd in Heat 2, placing 16th overall with a time of 21.39. 
 
(M) DMR:  A historic race unfolded in the men's DMR, with the top four teams all surpassing the previous NCAA Division II all-time record of 9:36.62, now holding the four fastest times in Division II history across all tracks.  

The Bearcat squad of Riley Witt, Logan Arellano, Maxime Touron, and Grant Bradley shattered their school record, finishing at 9:33.06 to claim national runner-up behind Pittsburg State's 9:32.58. Northwest's time now ranks as the second-fastest in Division II history.
