INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – The Northwest Missouri State indoor track and field teams wrapped up day one of the 2025 NCAA Indoor Championships on Thursday at the Fall Creek Pavilion.
Junior
Dominic Sedlacek shattered his own school record in the 60-meter dash prelims, clocking in at 6.66 seconds—the fourth-fastest time in the field. He is one of three Bearcats to qualify for their respective finals heats on Saturday.
NCAA DIVISION II INDOOR CHAMPIONSHIP RESULTS – DAY ONE
(W) 400m: Junior
Melanie Roland ran the second-fastest time in Heat 2 at 54.60 but narrowly missed the finals, finishing ninth overall—just one spot shy of qualification. Senior
Chloe Saenz placed second in Heat 4, clocking in at 54.77 for a 12th-place overall finish.
(W) Mile: Senior
Alyna Thibault crossed the line in 4:52.38, placing 16th overall.
(M) Mile: Junior
Riley Witt secured a spot in Saturday's final after posting the fourth-fastest qualifying time of 4:05.12. Witt finished second in Heat 1, trailing only Pittsburg State's Mason Strader (4:04.24). Witt will compete in Saturday's final at 2:25 p.m. (CT).
(M) 60m: Sedlacek advanced to Saturday's final after running the fourth-fastest qualifying time of 6.66. His performance resets his own school record of 6.68, which he set earlier this season (March 1). The fastest qualifying time came from Walsh's Micah Gremling at 6.64. The 60-meter final is scheduled for Saturday at 1:55 p.m. (CT).
(M) 400m: Junior
Truman Hare clinched a spot in Saturday's final with a time of 47.25, the sixth-fastest in the qualifying rounds. Hare placed second in Heat 2, while senior
Prince Griffin finished 13th overall at 47.71. The 400-meter final will take place on Saturday at 2:45 p.m. (CT).
