Emporia State downs Northwest on Senior Day, 79-67

MARYVILLE, Mo. - The Emporia State University Hornets downed the Northwest Missouri State University men's basketball team on Senior Day, 79-67.

Northwest concludes its 2024-25 season with an overall mark of 6-22 and 4-15 in MIAA play. Emporia State improved to 11-17 overall and 8-11 in league play.

Senior Luke Moustakas tallied a team-high 18 points and grabbed five rebounds. Fellow senior Byron Alexander capped his Bearcat career with eight points and 12 rebounds. Senior Emorie Knox chipped in with 10 points and five assists. Freshman Marcus Glock buried a trio of three-pointers and scored 13 points off the bench.

ESU's Karyiek Dixon scored a game-high 20 points on 8-of-20 shooting. The Hornets led 43-33 at the break and out-scored the Bearcats in the second half, 36-34.
