Northwest football lands 40 in its 2025 recruiting class

Northwest Missouri State University first-year head coach John McMenamin and his staff completed their first recruiting class and have added 40 Bearcats for the 2025 season.

"This recruiting class brings elite talent, physicality and a winning mentality to Bearcat football," McMenamin said. "We can't wait to see these players make an impact both on and off the field."

McMenamin credited the entire coaching staff for helping to put together the 2025 Bearcat class.

"I want to extend a huge thank you to our coaching staff, who have gone above and beyond—not only in coming together as a cohesive unit but in assembling such an outstanding group of incoming talent," McMenamin said. "Their dedication, time and care in recruiting this class have been truly remarkable. Their commitment wasn't just about finding high-caliber athletes, but more importantly, identifying individuals who embody true Bearcat DNA. These recruits are just as impressive off the field as they are on it, and we couldn't be more excited to start working with them.

McMenamin acknowledged the support surrounding the Bearcat football program in helping to bring on these future Bearcats.

"A heartfelt thank you also goes out to Bearcat Nation," McMenamin said. "From our passionate fans and families to University employees, support staff and local businesses, your support has been invaluable in making this class a reality. The faculty who volunteered their time made a lasting impression on our recruits, reinforcing what we already know – Northwest Missouri State University is a special place. When you're selling something you truly believe in, it makes recruiting that much more meaningful."
