The 2025 Northwest Missouri State University football schedule will feature five home games at Bearcat Stadium under first-year head coach John McMenamin.

The schedule will feature a home non-conference affair with Texas A&M-Kingsville on Saturday, Sept. 13. It will be the fifth meeting all-time between the Javelinas and Bearcats and the first encounter since the teams met twice in the 2010 season. Northwest has won all three of the NCAA Div. II playoff matchups between the two schools with victories in 1998, 2004 and 2010.

Northwest will open the season with a return trip to Minnesota State in Mankato, Minn., after the Mavericks began the previous season in Maryville. Northwest and Minnesota State will play Thursday, Aug. 28.

Northwest will travel to Washburn for its first MIAA game of the season on Saturday, Sept. 6.

Northwest will then play its first home game of the McMenamin coaching era against Texas A&M-Kingsville on Sept. 13 with a 1:30 p.m. kick.

Following a trip to Missouri Southern on Sept. 20, Northwest will return home to face off against the Central Oklahoma Bronchos as a part of Family Weekend on Sept. 27.

Northwest will come off a bye week to travel to Warrensburg, Mo., to take on the Central Missouri Mules on Oct. 11

The Bearcats will play back-to-back home weekends with Fort Hays State on Oct. 18 and Nebraska-Kearney on Oct. 25 for its annual Homecoming contest.

Northwest will travel to Emporia State on Nov. 1 and then be back home for its Senior Day against Missouri Western on Nov. 8.

The Bearcats will close the 2025 regular season at Pittsburg State on Nov. 15.
