THIS WEEK'S ACTION
The Northwest Missouri State University women's basketball team (5-3 overall) will embark on MIAA play Tuesday at Missouri Western and Thursday at home against Emporia State.
ALL-TIME VS MO WEST
Northwest trails in the all-time series with Missouri Western, 51-32. The Griffons have won seven straight matchups with the Bearcats.
   Northwest's last win at Missouri Western came Jan. 25, 2020, when the Bearcats recorded a 51-50 victory at the MWSU Fieldhouse.
ALL-TIME VS EMPORIA STATE
Emporia State holds a 48-19 lead in the all-time series with Northwest. Northwest has won three of the last four encounters.
   Northwest has been victorious in each of the last two meetings with the Hornets in Bearcat Arena.

The Bearcat women have won four straight games with triumphs over Rockhurst, Lincoln, William Jewell and Graceland.

100 WINS FOR MEYER
Head coach
Austin Meyer recorded his 100th career coaching victory in Northwest's Nov. 22 win over Lincoln.
   Meyer is the third Bearcat women's coach to reach 100 or more victories joining Wayne Winstead (311) and Gene Steinmeyer (189). Meyer has posted 102 career wins entering this week's action against Missouri Western and Emporia State.

   She ranks No. 2 in the team in scoring at 12.0 points per game.

Sadie Maas is Northwest's top shot blocker (17) and ranks second on the team in rebounding (6.5 rpg).
   Maas ranks No. 7 in the nation and No. 2 in the MIAA in blocked shots (17). She ranks fourth in the MIAA in total rebounds (52).
   Maas put up a season-high 13-rebound effort against Wayne State. It was her fourth career 10-plus rebound performance as a Bearcat.
   Maas has blocked a shot in 14 consecutive games dating back to the 2024-25 season. Maas has blocked at least one shot in 30 games as a collegiate player.
   Maas has collected 65 career blocked shots to rank No. 10 on Northwest's all-time blocked shots list.

Andrea Lopreato set the Bearcat single-game scoring record with 40 points against Sioux Falls at Civic Arena on Nov. 14.
   Lopreato became the first Bearcat women's basketball player to score 40 points in a game. It tied for the 14th-best single-game scoring mark in league history.
   Lopreato is one of six NCAA Div. II players to put up a 40-point scoring game this season.
   She also set the single-game school records for free throws made (19) and attempted (21) in the game. Lopreato set the MIAA single-game record with 19 made free throws vs. Sioux Falls.
   Lopreato leads the Bearcats in scoring at 15.1 points per game. She also tops the squad in steals (11) and free throws made (32). She is tied for the MIAA lead in free throw percentage (88.9%).
