Four Bearcats earn all-MIAA soccer accolades

The Northwest Missouri State University women's soccer team had four players earn all-MIAA honors as the league released its all-conference squads today.

Senior goalkeeper Lily Ellis (Kearney, Mo.), senior midfielder Ximena Arnau (Kansas City, Mo.) and junior forward Makenna West (Bondurant, Iowa) each gained second-team status, while sophomore defender Emma Cook (Omaha, Neb.) notched a third-team honor.

Ellis is the third Bearcat women's soccer player to be chosen as a four-time all-MIAA player joining Kaylie Rock and Jacque Dedovesh in that elite company. Ellis ranks second in the MIAA and No. 13 in the nation in shutouts (9). She is credited with 93 saves, which ranks third best in the MIAA. Ellis ranks second among active NCAA Div. II goalkeepers with 36 shutouts. She ranks No. 5 in all NCAA Divisions among active goalkeepers.
