THIS WEEK'S ACTION
The Northwest Missouri State University women's basketball team (3-3 overall) will continue its four-game homestand with matchups against William Jewell (Tues., 6 p.m.) and Graceland (Sun., 1 p.m.).
    William Jewell is 0-3 and Graceland is 1-7.

ALL-TIME VS WILLIAM JEWELL
Northwest has won 13 of the 19 all-time matchups with William Jewell. Bearcat head coach Austin Meyer is 2-0 vs. the Cardinals.
    Northwest recorded an 80-55 win over William Jewell last season in Liberty, Mo.

ALL-TIME VS GRACELAND
Northwest won the first meeting in the series with Graceland last season with an 85-54 victory at Municipal Auditorium on Nov. 15, 2024.

TWO-GAME WIN STREAK; FOUR IN A ROW AT HOME
The Bearcat women have won two straight games with triumphs over Rockhurst and Lincoln.
    Dating back to last season, Northwest has won four consecutive home games in Bearcat Arena. Northwest's four-game home win streak ranks as the fourth-longest active home winning streak among MIAA schools.

LIMITING THE OPPOSITION
Northwest ranks No. 2 in the MIAA in scoring defense by allowing 56.3 points per game.
    The Bearcats have held all six opponents to 67 points or less.
    Northwest has limited its four of its opponents to less than 60 points.

100 WINS FOR MEYER
Head coach Austin Meyer recorded his 100th career coaching victory in Saturday's 61-50 win over Lincoln.
    Meyer is the third Bearcat women's coach to reach 100 or more victories joining Wayne Winstead (311) and Gene Steinmeyer (189).

SCORERS OF NOTE
Freshman Bailey Birmingham put together back-to-back 16-point home games against Rockhurst and Lincoln. Birmingham has reached double-figure scoring in three of her five games she has played this season.

Freshman Bailey Birmingham leads the Bearcats with 14 three-pointers made. Birmingham knocked down four three-pointers against Rockhurst and Lincoln, Mo.
    She ranks No. 2 in the team in scoring at 11.4 points per game.

MAAS SWATS SHOTS, GRABS BOARDS
Sophomore Sadie Maas is Northwest's top rebounder (7.2 rpg) and shot blocker (13).
    Maas ranks No. 6 in the nation in blocked shots (13). She ranks first in the MIAA in total rebounds (43).
    Maas put up a season-high 13-rebound effort against Wayne State. It was her fourth career 10-plus rebound performance as a Bearcat.
    Last season, Maas collected 48 blocked shots as a freshman to rank as the fifth-best single-season total in program history. Maas also ranked No. 5 in the MIAA in blocked shots.
    She has blocked a shot in 12 consecutive games dating back to the 2024-25 season.
    Maas has blocked at least one shot in 28 games as a collegiate player.
    Maas has collected 61 career blocked shots and is two away from joining the top-10 list at Northwest.

DRE-LO DROPS 40, SCHOOL RECORD VS. SIOUX FALLS
Junior transfer Andrea Lopreato set the Bearcat single-game scoring record with 40 points against Sioux Falls at Civic Arena on Nov. 14.
    Lopreato became the first Bearcat women's basketball player to score 40 points in a game. It tied for the 14th-best single game scoring mark in league history.
    Lopreato is one of five NCAA Div. II players to put up a 40-point scoring game this season.
    She also set the single-game school records for free throws made (19) and attempted (21) in the game. Lopreato set the MIAA single-game record with 19 made free throws vs. Sioux Falls.
    Lopreato leads the Bearcats in scoring at 18.5 points per game. She also stops the squad in steals (7) and free throws made (25).
