Seven Bearcat runners honored with USTFCCCA All-Region accolades

Seven members of the Northwest Missouri State cross country teams were honored with USTFCCCA All-Region accolades for their performances at the Central Region Championships on Nov. 8, the organization announced. 
 
All-Region honorees for the 2025 NCAA Division II Cross Country season were recognized on Monday by the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) following Regional Championships Saturday. Drew AtkinsAziz MohammedGrayson TappMaxime TouronOlivia BakkerMayson Hartley, and Lydia McGlocklin were recognized for posting top 25 individual performances.
 
Mohammed secured first at the Central Region Championships, clocking in at 29:53.48, the second-best 10,000-meter in Northwest history. Following up close behind was Atkins with a time of 30:04.49, which ranks as the fourth best in school history. Touron and Tapp both set new personal bests, coming in at 31:20.62 and 31:22.31, finishing 19th and 20th respectively. 
 
On the women's side, Olivia Bakker took fifth with the second-fastest 6,000-meter in Northwest history at 21:15.79. McGlocklin followed up with a 14th-place finish, posting a time of 21:33.90, 10th best in program history, along with Hartley securing 24th with Northwest's 12th best time, 21:47.87.
 
Within the conference, the MIAA tallied 32 all-Region honors. 
 
With the Bearcat men's first place finish, the team earned one of three automatic team berths from the Central Region for the 2025 NCAA Div. II Cross Country Championships, while the women's team is awaiting word on an at-large selection that will be awarded today by the NCAA. The 2025 NCAA Div. II Cross Country Championships is set for Nov. 22 in Kenosha, Wis.
