Northwest secured a decisive win over Newman at the Bearcat Pitch by tallying 12 shots on goal compared to Newman's three.

The first half began with Northwest asserting early offensive pressure, recording multiple shots on goal. Ximena Arnau and Margaret Madden both tested Newman's goalkeeper, Carla Apodaca, who made crucial saves. Continuous pressure led to several corner kicks for the home team, keeping the momentum in their favor.

The breakthrough came in the 25th minute when Northwest junior McKenna West tallied her third goal of the season, scoring off an assist from Brooke Bellehumeur, giving Northwest a 1-0 lead. Defensively, Bearcat goalkeeper Lily Ellis maintained the advantage with a key save late in the half, contributing to her 32nd career shutout. The home team closed the half with a 1-0 advantage, holding Newman scoreless.

The second half opened with Northwest extending their lead early. Bearcat senior Margaret Madden capitalized on a corner kick by converting with an assist from Lillie Shaw in the 48th minute, tallying her team-leading fourth goal of the year, and pushing the score to 2-0. Just 10 minutes later, Northwest sophomore Lillie Shaw posted her first career goal, bringing the score to 3-0 and giving the Bearcats a three-goal cushion.

Northwest maintained pressure throughout the half, creating multiple opportunities, including a shot by West that was saved, and several corners. Defensively, the team held firm, with Ellis securing two crucial saves in the closing minutes to preserve the shutout. The half concluded with Northwest leading 3-0.

West scored the game-winning goal and finished with four shots, two of which were on goal. Ellis recorded a shutout in goal with three saves over 90 minutes. Bellehumeur added an assist and registered two shots. Shaw contributed with a goal and an assist, converting her only shot on goal.
