ST. JOSEPH, MO. – The Northwest Missouri State University men's cross-country team claimed 3rd place at the Griffon Invite.
 
The Bearcat men tallied 67 points to take third place.

In the men's 6K Northwest secured third place with four runners finishing in the top 25. Freshman Liam Adair lead the team with a sixth-place finish with a time of 26:14.12. Freshman Bradley Deering (26:34.12), Sophomore Owen Wise (26:45.33), and freshman Jack Williams (28:24.92) finished 9th, 12th, and 25th respectively. Wise set a new personal best in the men's 8K.

Later today, the men's and women's teams will compete in Fayetteville, Ark. to run in the Arkansas Chili Pepper Festival. Afterwards both teams will compete in the MIAA Championship meet, scheduled for Oct. 25 in Pittsburg, Kansas.
