Bearcat soccer listed in NCAA Central Region alphabetical rankings

The Northwest Missouri State University women's soccer team is one of 10 teams in the NCAA Division II Central Region listed for consideration to the NCAA Tournament.

For the first release of region rankings, the NCAA is listing its top 10 teams by region alphabetically.

Eight teams from the Central Region will be selected to compete in the Central Regional of the NCAA Tournament following the conclusion of conference tournaments. The region consists of teams from the Mid-America Intercollegiate Athletics Association, Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference, and Great American Conference. Champions from each of the three conference tournaments within the region will receive automatic bids to the NCAA Tournament.

The Bearcats are 10-4 on the season and 7-2 in conference. Northwest has three more regular season matches, with a match against Washburn on Friday in Maryville, a match against Emporia State in Emporia Kan. on Sunday, and their final regular season game against Missouri Western in Maryville on Wednesday, Nov. 5.
