BEARCAT WOMEN'S HOOPS BEGINS 2025-26 SEASON
The Northwest Missouri State University women's basketball team will play a home exhibition Tuesday at 6:30 p.m. against Central before beginning regular season non-conference play this weekend at the D2CCA Tip-Off Classic at Civic Arena in downtown St. Joseph, Mo.
   The Bearcat women will tangle with Adams State in the first game of the weekend Friday at 1 p.m.
   Northwest will have the day off Saturday before returning Sunday to take on West Texas A&M at 1 p.m.
ALL-TIME VS ADAMS STATE
This will be the second all-time meeting between Northwest and Adams State in women's basketball.
   Northwest claimed a 67-61 win over Adams State at a tournament hosted by Regis in Denver, Colo., on Dec. 3, 1994.

ALL-TIME VS WEST TEXAS A&M
Northwest is 1-4 all-time vs. West Texas A&M. The last two times the teams have met have been in the NCAA Tournament.
   Northwest recorded a 72-71 overtime win over West Texas A&M in Canyon, Texas, on April 14, 2008. Meghan Brue sank a 40-foot shot at the buzzer in overtime to lift Northwest to the regional semifinal. The Bearcat win snapped a 45-game home-court winning streak for the Buffs. It was the first NCAA Tournament win for then Bearcat head coach Gene Steinmeyer.
