Women secure 4th at MIAA Championships

PITTSBURG, Kan. – The Northwest Missouri State women's cross country placed fourth at the MIAA Championship meet in Pittsburg, Kan. at the Four Oaks Golf Course. 
 
The Bearcat women tallied 102 points to claim fourth. Sophomore Olivia Bakker posted the 10th-best time in Bearcat cross country history. Bakker also received her first-team all-MIAA honors along with honorable mention all-MIAA status for senior Lydia McGlocklin.

In the women's 6K run, the Bearcats secured fourth, with Northwest having three runners finish within the top 25. Sophomore Olivia Bakker set a new personal record at 21:41.72, leading the team with a fifth place finish. Senior Lydia McGlocklin (22:12.39) and Senior Lou Maquaire (22:31.36) finished 12th and 22nd respectively. Both McGlocklin and Maquaire set new personal bests. Rounding out the top 5 for the 'Cats were Mayson Hartley with a time of 22:47.27, finishing 29th, and Whitney Post with a time of 22:55.31, finishing 34th.
