ST. JOSEPH, Mo. – The Northwest Missouri State University women's golf team wrapped up its fall campaign with a tie for ninth place at the MWSU Holiday Inn Express Super Regional Preview, held Monday and Tuesday at the St. Joseph Country Club.
The Bearcats posted a final-round team score of 325 (+37) for a two-day total of 649 (+73), finishing in a tie with Augustana in the 19-team field.
Freshman
Shaylee Ficken led the Bearcats with a strong second-round performance, firing a five-over 77—her third sub-80 round of the fall. Ficken recorded back-to-back birdies on holes No. 14 and No. 15 to cap her round and pace Northwest's lineup.
Junior
Clara Peake added an 84 on Tuesday, highlighted by birdies on No. 6 and No. 14. Peake tallied six birdies across the tournament and placed 32nd individually.
Sophomore
Lexi Bartley turned in a final-round 82 to finish 36th overall, carding a birdie on the par-4, 286-yard fifth hole.
The MWSU Holiday Inn Express Super Regional Preview marked the conclusion of Northwest's fall schedule.
