WARRENSBURG, Mo. – The Northwest Missouri State University women's golf team turned in a strong showing at the 2025 Midwest Classic, finishing in seventh place among 14 teams at the Mules National Golf Course.

The Bearcats carded a final-round 301 to close out the 54-hole tournament with a team score of 905 (+65) on the par-70, 5,564-yard layout.

Leading the way for Northwest was Clara Peake, who fired the Bearcats' best round of the day with a 74 on Tuesday. Peake caught fire on the front nine, stringing together three straight birdies on holes 7, 8, and 9 to post a two-under 33 on the outward nine. She finished the tournament with a 222 (+12), earning a top-15 finish.

Lauren Briggs and Lexi Bartley both finished tied for 19th overall, each recording a 54-hole total of 224 (+14). Briggs capped her tournament with a steady 75 in the final round, highlighted by a birdie at No. 3 and a run of eight pars on the back nine. Bartley notched a birdie on No. 16 in her final round 76.

Carleigh Reoh opened with a 77 that included a birdie at No. 12, and followed with an 82 in the second round. She finished with a 54-hole score of 238, placing 55th.

Delayney Medlyn closed out her tournament with a birdie on the par-4 seventh hole and posted a final-round 80. Her three-day total of 243 (+33) rounded out the Bearcats' team scoring.

Competing as individuals, Shaylee Ficken delivered her best round of the fall with a 74 on Tuesday, showing steady improvement throughout the event. Ficken's 235 (+25) placed her among the top 50 in the 88-player field. Kayla Moline also showed consistency, carding her third straight 85 in the final round to finish at 255 (+45). She secured a birdie on No. 14 in her closing round.

The Bearcats will look to carry their momentum into the final event of the fall season at the Holiday Inn Express Super Regional Preview, set for Monday and Tuesday (Oct. 13-14) at the St. Joseph Country Club in St. Joseph, Mo.
