BLUE SPRINGS, Mo. – The Northwest Missouri State University women's golf team completed its first tournament of the season Wednesday at the Adams Pointe Golf Course.
Northwest produced the sixth-best two-round total in program history at 625 (318-307). The 307 in round two also tied for the sixth-best single round in school history. The Bearcats placed 14th of 17 teams at the Central Region Fall Preview.
Freshman
Lexi Bartley carded Northwest's best round of the day with a 2-over 74. Bartley collected a trio of birdies, including a pair of par-3s at No. 4 and No. 12. She added her final birdie of the day on the par-4 18th hole. Bartley's two-round total of 156 capped her first collegiate tournament experience in a tie for No. 48.
Senior
Paige Hoffman tied Bartley for Northwest's best individual performance in the 36-hole event. Hoffman totaled a two-round score of 156 (+12) to place tied for No. 48 in the 90-player field. Hoffman tallied 13 pars in Tuesday's final round.
Another Bearcat freshman
Lauren Briggs capped her first collegiate effort with a final-round 77 (+5). Briggs snared three birdies on Tuesday. She birdies two par-5s on No. 2 and No. 14. She also tallied a birdie on the par-4 11th hole.
