The Northwest Missouri State University men's cross country and track & field program placed eighth in the USTFCCCA's 2023-24 Program of the Year standings.
Under the direction of head coach
Brandon Masters the Northwest men finished with 45.0 points in the year-end standings.
Northwest placed 24th in cross country, sixth in indoor track & field and 15th in outdoor track & field. Northwest was one of only 16 schools to place in all three events at the NCAA Championship level.
In order to be eligible for the award, teams must qualify for each of the NCAA Championships. Scoring is based on the team's finish at each NCAA Championship in cross country, indoor track & field and outdoor track & field (i.e. 1st = 1 point, 2nd = 2 points … 31st = 31 points) with the lowest total score for all three championships combined determining the award winner. Ties among schools split points for positions taken.
