The Northwest Missouri State University outdoor track and field squads are gearing up for back-to-back meets in Nebraska, starting with the Concordia Twilight (Friday) in Seward, followed by the Loper Twilight (Saturday) in Kearney.
Northwest is coming off the MIAA Outdoor Championships, crowning seven champions. The Bearcat women placed second, as the men placed fourth.
The Bearcat women have risen to No. 13, while the Northwest men are checked in at No. 29 this week in the latest USTFCCCA Index.
Concordia Twilight
The Concordia Twilight will kick off with field events beginning at noon on Friday, as running events will start at 4:30 p.m.
Loper Twilight
At the Loper Twilight, field events will begin at 1 p.m. on Saturday, as running events are scheduled to start at 5 p.m.
Admission for the Loper Twilight is $7 for adults and $5 for students (10 and under free). All ticket sales will be online.
NCAA DIV. II OUTDOOR PROVISIONAL MARKS/TIMES (WOMEN)
100m dash (W):
Lexie Gilbert provided a provisional time of 11.54 at the 16th Annual David Suenram Gorilla Classic.
200m dash (W):
Tiffany Hughey ran a new personal best time of 23.66 seconds at the John McDonnell Invite. Gilbert notched a provisional time of 24.10 seconds at the David Suenram Classic.
400m dash (W): Three Bearcats recorded new provisional times at the MIAA Outdoor Championships. Hughey recorded the second-fastest time in Div. II this season - also breaking her previous school record - of 52.07 seconds.
Luisarys Toledo clocked in at 53.23 seconds, ranking her fifth in Div. II.
Chloe Saenz crossed the line at 54.43 seconds, sitting No. 19 in Div. II.
800m run (W):
Kaylee Harp etched a provisional time of 2:09.45 at the MIAA Outdoor Championships.
Lydia McGlocklin secured a provisional time of 2:09.71 at the Bryan Clay Invitational.
Bailey Blake ran a provisional time of 2:10.25 at the MIAA Outdoor Championships.
1500m run (W):
Alyna Thibault ran a provisional time of 4:30.39 at the Bryan Clay Invitational.
400mH (W):
Jaedy Commins produced a provisional time of 1:01.24 at the MIAA Outdoor Championships, as she placed sixth and now sits No. 4 in Bearcat history.
3000m Steeplechase (W):
Whitney Post placed second at the MIAA Outdoor Championships with a provisional time of 10:53.44.
Taylor McCreedy recorded a provisional time of 11:02.76 at the Leopard Distance Carnival.
4x100M Relay (W): The team of
Jaurdin Mallory,
Chloe Saenz,
Kyah Luhring, and
Lexie Gilbert placed fourth at the MIAA Championships with a provisional time of 45.90 seconds which sits at No. 3 in program history.
4x400m Relay (W): The quartet of
Jaedy Commins,
Luisarys Toledo,
Kaylee Harp, and
Tiffany Hughey claimed an MIAA title with the fastest time in Div. II this season of 3:37.39. At the 96th Clyde Littlefield Texas Relays,
Chloe Saenz, Toledo, Harp, and Hughey qualified with the third-fastest time in Div. II, crossing the line at 3:37.78.
Long jump (W): Toledo secured a provisional mark of 6.13 meters at the Gorilla Classic, placing her sixth in Div. II thus far.
Javelin (W): Toledo notched a new provisional mark at the MIAA Championships, placing second, with a throw of 46.74 meters. Toeldo's throw breaks her previous school record that was set at the Bearcat Tuneup.
Heptathlon (W):
Anna Gladstone secured a provisional spot in the event of 4,713 points at the MIAA Outdoor Championships.
NCAA DIV. II OUTDOOR PROVISIONAL MARKS/TIMES (MEN)
100m dash (M):
Joel Dos Santos (10.38) and
Enrico Cavagna (10.40) each notched provisional times at the Midwest Classic.
Dominic Sedlacek crossed the line at 10.46 seconds at the MIAA Championships to secure a provisional time in the event.
200m dash (M): Dos Santos secured another provisional mark at the Bobcat Invitational with a time of 21.21.
400m dash (M):
Prince Griffin set a provisional time of 46.69 at the Midwest Classic. Griffin's time ranks No. 12 in Div. II this season.
Truman Hare posted a provisional time of 47.63 seconds at the Bearcat Tune-up.
800m run (M): At the Bryan Clay Invitational,
Maxime Touron crossed the line at 1:50.04 seconds, securing an outdoor provisional time.
1500m run (M): At the same meet, Touron notched his second provisional time in the 1500-meter run with a time of 3:47.75 seconds.
5000m run (M): At the Emporia State Relays,
Drew Atkins secured a provisional time of 14:19.67. Atkins captured the MIAA crown in this event.
10K run (M): Atkins crossed the line at 29:30.23 at the Bryan Clay Invitational, securing an outdoor provisional time.
400m H (M):
Danny Jantzen secured a provisional time of 52.63 seconds at the Midwest Classic.
3000m Steeplechase (M):
Reece Smith provided the nation's fifth-best time of 8:47.82 at the Leopard Distance Carnival.
Nate Mueller notched a provisional time of 9:07.16 at the MIAA Championships. Smith won his fourth consecutive MIAA title in this event.
4x100 Relay (M):
Dominic Sedlacek, Dos Santos,
Zac Anderson, and
Enrico Cavagna ran the nation's seventh-best time of 40.03 at the Bobcat Invitational.
4x400 Relay (M): The quartet of
Prince Griffin,
Danny Jantzen,
Logan Arellano, and
Gavyn Monday secured an MIAA title, running a provisional time of 3:09.66 at the MIAA Championships. The team's time ranks No. 10 in Div. II this season and No. 2 in Bearcat history.
High Jump (M):
Blake Morgan placed third at the MIAA Championships, securing a season-best mark of 2.14 meters.
