All-America honors for the 2024 NCAA DII Outdoor Track & Field season were announced by the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA).
The Northwest Missouri State University track and field programs combined to produce 21 All-America efforts at the 2024 NCAA Div. II national championship meet held in Emporia, Kan. The Bearcat men tallied 13 All-America honors, while the Northwest women gained eight All-America citations.
Tiffany Hughey added two All-America nods to give her 11 all-time All-America honors (indoors/outdoors). Luisarys Toledo notched a team-best three All-America awards in 4x400 relay, javelin and long jump. Reece Smith capped his tremendous collegiate career by capturing his seventh all-time All-America accolade in the 3,000-meter steeplechase.
Student-athletes earned First-Team USTFCCCA All-American honors by virtue of finishing among the top-eight in their respective events – including as a member of a relay team.
Second-team selections were given to those athletes who finished in spots Nos. 9-12 in individual events. Ninth and tenth-place relay teams also earned the distinction.
The Bearcat track and field team is led by sixth-year head coach Brandon Masters. Masters has helped crown 164 track and field all-Americans since taking over the Northwest program in 2018. His list of All-Americans include 77 women (48 indoors, 29 outdoors) and 87 men (50 indoors, 37 outdoors). Masters has coached six individuals and four relays to NCAA national championships in his time in Maryville, including this season's national crowns from Tiffany Hughey (Women's 400m) and the men's 4x400-meter relay squad.
Prior to Masters taking over the program, Northwest had produced 28 outdoor All-Americans in women's track and field. In Masters time at Northwest, he has guided the program to 29 outdoor All-America honors.
The Bearcat men produced a single-season program record with 13 All-America accolades at this year's championship meet. The Northwest men have gained 100 outdoor NCAA All-America honors in program history.
