Bearcat track & field teams wrap up action in Iowa at Drake Relays, Janvrin Open

The Northwest Missouri State University track and field teams continued action on day two in the state of Iowa at the Kip Janvrin Open and the Drake Relays.
 
DRAKE RELAYS
Maxime Touron tallied an eighth-place finish in the 800m (University/College Division). Touron recorded a time of 1:51.07 on his two tours of the blue oval at Drake Stadium.
 
KIP JANVRIN OPEN
Northwest put up six to-10 finishes on Friday in Indianola, Iowa.
 
WOMEN'S 100M – Lexie Gilbert qualified for the finals and placed second in the event with a time of 11.94. Gilbert had earned the third-best qualification time (12.08). Jaurdin Mallory (11th – 12.45) and Reese Brown (23rd – 12.83) also ran in the preliminary heats.
 
MEN'S 100M – Jacey Hutson (11.16) and Quinn Gruver (11.35) ran in the prelims but did not qualify for the finals.
 
MEN'S 400M – Christian Lanphier secured a second-place finish with a personal-best time of 48.84. Mason Swaney took 10th-place (50.65).
 
WOMEN'S 100M HURDLES – Hannah Hatzenbuehler garnered a fourth-place finish in the finals with a time of 14.96. Hatzenbuehler qualified for the finals with the sixth-best time in the prelims (15.02).
 
MEN'S 800M – Charlie Kinslow secured a sixth-place finish with a time of 1:54.83.
 
WOMEN'S 200M – Jadyn Barnes gained a fourth-place tally with a time of 25.24. Reese Brown placed 11th (26.26) and Jaurdin Mallory took 12th (26.33).
 
MEN'S 200M – Northwest had four competitors with Christian Lanphier topping the Bearcats finishers with a 14th-place tally (22.57). Jacey Hutson placed 16th (22.64), Mason Swaney took 24th (23.03) and Quinn Gruver posted 27th place (23.25).
 
WOMEN'S HAMMER – Alli Poage had a throw of 122'05" (37.32m) to place 19th.
 
WOMEN'S DISCUS – Quinn Weakley had a toss of 118'0" (35.98m) to earn 12th place. Alli Poage took 19th place with a throw of 103'8" (31.60m).
