Distance runners set new personal bests at Bryan Clay Invitational

AZUSA, Calif. -- The Northwest Missouri State University outdoor track and field squads wrapped up weekend action with the Bryan Clay Invitational. 

Out of the eight runners that competed, four earned new personal best times in the 1500-meter run. 

Bryan Clay Invitational
1500-meter run (W): In the women's 1500 Open 'C' group, Lydia McGlocklin placed 44th with a new personal best time of 4:42.32, now at No. 8 in Bearcat history. Whitney Post ran a time of 4:48.41. 

In the 1500-meter 'A' group, Alyna Thibault ran a personal best and provisional time of 4:30.39. Thibault's time now sits at No. 2 in Bearcat history by less than a second (Caroline Cunningham - 4:29.71)

In the 1500-meter 'B' group, Taylor McCreedy ran a time of 4:45.13, which ties her personal best. 

1500-meter run (M): Charlie Kinslow crossed the line at 4:02.90. 

Maxime Touron placed 35th in the 1500-meter run 'A' group with a time of 3:47.75. Touron's time qualifies as a provisional time, as it sets a new personal best time in the event, as he climbs the record board to No. 4 all-time. Nate Mueller finished at 3:50.35, which tallies another personal best time. Riley Witt crossed at 3:52.60. 

Northwest will return to its home track, hosting the Bearcat Tuneup on Saturday, April 25.
