MARYVILLE, Mo. - The No. 25-ranked Northwest Missouri State University women's tennis team improved to 8-0 on the season with a 4-0 win over the Minnesota State University Mavericks on the Grube Courts at the Rosewell Complex on the Bearcat campus.

Northwest gained the upper-hand by winning the doubles point. Northwest got wins at No. 1 doubles from Sofia Pignataro and Carolina Oliveira and No. 3 doubles from Marielena Muench and Laura Prieto Sieiro.

The Bearcats gained three singles wins from Pignataro (No. 3), Prieto Sieiro (No. 5) and Angela per Moreno (No. 6) to clinch the dual win.
