KANSAS CITY, Mo. - The No. 4-ranked Northwest Missouri State University men's basketball team won its 22nd straight MIAA Tournament game in Municipal Auditorium with an 80-52 victory over the Missouri Western Griffons in Thursday's quarterfinal round.
Northwest moved to 25-5 overall in winning its 14th consecutive game overall. Missouri Western saw its season come to an end at 17-13.
The Bearcats shot 55.2% (32-of-58) from the floor, including 56.3% (9-of-16) from three-point land. It is the 15th time this season the Bearcats have shot 50.0% or better in a game.

Wes Dreamer poured in a game-high 22 points. Dreamer drained 9-of-15 field goals, including 4-of-5 from three-point range. Junior
Daniel Abreu tallied 20 points on 9-of-13 shooting. Abreu tied for team-high honors with seven rebounds.
Northwest bounced out to a 27-10 lead en route to a 41-24 advantage at the break. The Bearcats came out and sank six of their first seven three-pointers in the second half and built a 29-point lead with 11:23 to play in the game.
The Bearcats advanced to the MIAA Tournament semifinals for the 13th straight season. Northwest will take on the winner of the Washburn-Rogers State quarterfinal contest. The Bearcats will play again Saturday in the first men's semifinal at 6 p.m.
