The Northwest Missouri State University women's and men's tennis squads are each ranked No. 34 in the latest Intercollegiate Tennis Association's Top-50 team rankings.
The Bearcat women are 10-1 on the season, while the men have compiled a mark of 5-4.
On the women's side,
Tessa Kwakernaak is rated No. 27 and
Laura Prieto Sieiro is ranked No. 57 in singles play. Kwakernaak is 11-3 this season with a mark of 7-1 in dual action. Prieto Sieiro is 10-1 on the year and a perfect 8-0 at No. 5 singles.
Andrea Zamurri is ranked in both singles and doubles in men's action. Zamurri is No. 63 in singles and is No. 33 in doubles with his partner
Vini Rodrigues. Northwest's doubles pairing of
Mason Meier and
Martin Sanchez are ranked No. 50 in the nation.
Zamurri has posted a career singles mark of 68-21, which ranks tied for the ninth-most singles wins in program history. Zamurri is 56-30 in doubles action.
