WICHITA FALLS, Texas – The Northwest Missouri State University softball squad came up on the short end of a 9-0 five-inning decision to the Cameron University Aggies at the Mustang Round Up.
Â
Northwest fell to 3-4 on the season, while Cameron moved to 1-0 in its first contest of the spring.

Breck Dickey.
Â
The Aggies put up an eight-spot in the bottom of the third that was capped by a three-run inside the park homer by Savannah Pemberton. Pemberton's hit was Cameron's sixth of the inning and gave the Aggies a 9-0 lead through three innings.
Â
Northwest managed a pair of singles in the fourth inning from
Alexis Brown and
Skylar Pieper, but could not score a run in the run-ruled shortened game.
Â
Lillie Filger saw her 14-game hitting streak snapped as she went 0-for-3 against the Aggies. Filger grounded out to the pitcher in the first and third, before ending the game with a groundout to third.
Â
Dickey was tagged with the loss as she saw her season mark dip to 1-2.
