However, the Reddies tallied two in the seventh on a two-RBI double to take a 6-5 lead. Bearcat reliever Jake Ciafullo was tagged with the two runs in the seventh.

This see-saw affair went the Bearcats way in the eighth. Layne Shiers came through with a sac fly to center to score Bodenhausen. The sac fly tied the contest at 6-6. Young bashed a two-run homer to right-center that plated Williams as well to give the Bearcats an 8-6 advantage.

Bearcat skipper Darin Loe turned to Jacob Gajic (1-1) in the bottom half of the seventh to turn away the Reddies. Gajic gave up a leadoff single in the eighth but quickly settled in and got a strikeout and a double play to move to the ninth.

The Bearcats put up seven runs in the ninth with only three hits. Kozeal led off the ninth with a strikeout, then eight straight Bearcats reached base with five of those coming off base on balls.
Three of the seven runs came via bases loaded walks and the last run scored when Cole Slibowski was hit by a pitch.
