Northwest Missouri State University senior cornerback
Austin McKinney will take part in the FCS Bowl 11 a.m. (ET) Sunday, Dec. 8, at Daytona Stadium in Daytona Beach, Fla.
McKinney (Battle Creek, Mich.) will be on head coach Jim Collins' Team Blue and will wear jersey No. 24 in the bowl game.
McKinney started all 11 games at cornerback in 2024. second on the team with nine passes defensed, which ranked No. 9 in the MIAA. He recorded his first career interception in the fourth quarter at Missouri Western to clinch a 33-23 Bearcat victory in St. Joseph.
The
FCS Bowl is an annual post-season college football all-star game consisting of the top players from college football FCS schools. The inaugural FCS National Bowl was played in December 2014 at FIU Stadium and moved to
Daytona Beach Stadium in Daytona Beach, FL in 2016 which is home to FCS Bethune-Cookman Football. The National Bowl and FCS Bowl all star weekend for non-FBS schools has been the only games of its kind to attract numerous NFL and CFL scouts.
