NEW ORLEANS, La. -- All-America honors for the 2024 NCAA Division II Cross Country season were announced on Monday by the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA).
Athletes from member institutions earned All-America recognition by finishing among the top-40 athletes in their gender's respective races this past weekend at the 2024 NCAA Division II Cross Country Championships in Sacramento, California.
Three Northwest Missouri State cross country runners, junior
Drew Atkins, senior
Grant Bradley, and junior
Nate Mueller, earned USTFCCCA All-America honors with top-40 finishes at the national championship meet.
Atkins secured his second consecutive All-America title, finishing 19th with a personal-best time of 30:04.6, the fourth-fastest 10,000-meter mark in Northwest history. Bradley, the Bearcats' highest finisher, placed 18th, posting the third-fastest time in school history at 30:04.3 to earn his first career cross country All-America honor. Mueller also achieved his first All-America recognition, finishing 24th with a time of 30:13.1, the sixth-fastest in program history.
Their combined performances set a program milestone, marking the most All-America honors achieved by Northwest runners at the championship meet.
