Bearcat men race towards NCAA cross country glory in Sacramento

The Northwest Missouri State men's cross country squad will take its talents to the 2024 NCAA Division II National Championship meet on Saturday, Nov. 23 at the Arcade Creek Cross Country Course in Sacramento, Calif. Sacramento Sports Commission and California Collegiate Athletic Association will serve as the host. 
 
A live web stream of the championships will occur on www.NCAA.com from 12 p.m. (CT) until the conclusion of the awards ceremony. 
 
This historic season hasn't ended for Northwest men's squad, after capturing its first MIAA title since 1972 and taking home two regular season crowns – three total. The Bearcats placed second at the Central Region championships, earning a spot at the championship meet this week. The Bearcat men are led by USTFCCCA all-region performers in Grant Bradley, Nate Mueller, Drew Atkins, and Tyler Blay
 
Head coach Wick Cunningham received the MIAA's Men's Coach of the Year, along with the USTFCCCA Central Region Coach of the Year.

The Bearcats were recognized as the ninth-best team across Division II.
