Bearcats set to take on Central Oklahoma, Newman in Bearcat Arena

NORTHWEST VS CENTRAL OKLAHOMA

Northwest leads the all-time series record, 9-7. The Bearcats hold a 2-3 record at home against the 'Chos. The last time these two teams met was back on Feb. 23, 2023 with Northwest coming out with a 97-50 triumph at Bearcat Arena.

Northwest is riding a three game winning streak against the 'Chos.

SCOUTING THE 'CHOS
Emma Andrews leads UCO in her second season as Head Coach.

UCO comes in to Thursday's match up with a 3-13 overall record and 2-8 in conference play. The Bronchos are coming off a key win against Rogers State, 69-60.

Sophomore Forward Reagan Fox leads the Bronchos in scoring with 9.8 PPG.

Junior Guard Karly Wadsworth sits ninth in the MIAA in 3PT field goals per game with 1.8.


NORTHWEST VS NEWMAN
Newman has yet to beat Northwest since joining the MIAA in 2019. Northwest has beaten Newman all five times. The Bearcats have only hosted the Jets once at home on Jan. 1, 2021.

The last time these two teams met was back on March 1, 2023 with Northwest coming out with a 70-54 win.

SCOUTING THE JETS
Head Coach Amy Briggs enters her first season leading the Jets.

Newman has an overall record of 2-14 and 1-9 in conference play. The Jets square up with Missouri Western on Thursday. Newman had recently lost to Northeastern State, 68-62.

Carissa Beck leads the Jets in scoring with 9.0 PPG. Beck had 16 points in their loss against Central Oklahoma on Dec. 2.

Northwest dropped from the top of the MIAA standings to a three way tie for third place this week.

SEASON STATISTICS
Northwest ranks second in the MIAA in the turnover margin (3.73).

The Bearcats rank third in the MIAA in free throw percentage (75.8).

Jayna Green ranks third in the MIAA with 26 blocks on the season and 1.73 blocks per game. As a team, Northwest rejects 3.3 shots which sits sixth in the conference.

Molly Hartnett ranks third in the MIAA in free throw percentage (89.3).

Kelsey Fields secures 3.0 offensive rebounds per game in which sits fourth in the MIAA.

MINIMIZING TURNOVERS
Northwest has been taking care of the rock so far this season, averaging 12.7 per game, putting them eighth in the nation and first in the MIAA.

William Jewell leads the nation with 10.9 turnovers per game.

KELDERMAN THREE BALL
The Kelderman duo controls the scoring from beyond the arc. Lindsey Kelderman has made 27 three's so far this season, with older sister Peyton knocking down 24.

Peyton Kelderman currently ranks eighth in Bearcat history in three-pointers made with 128 in her career.
