The Northwest Missouri State cross country teams took part in the Gans Creek Class in Columbia, Mo., Friday morning.
On the men's side, sophomore
Drew Atkins took runner-up status with a time of 24:22.5.
Nate Mueller placed ninth with a mark of 25:20.9. Atkins and Mueller helped the Bearcat team to a fourth-place overall finish.
Alyna Thibault (22:36.4) and
Taylor McCreedy (22:38.0) finished back-to-back in the seven and eight spots in the women's 6K event. Overall, the women's team finished third in the Gans Creek Classic.
