MARYVILLE, Mo. - The Northwest Missouri State University women's soccer team used a four-goal attack in the first half to score a 4-0 win over the visiting Missouri Southern Lions on Senior Day at the Bearcat Pitch.

Northwest improved to 3-2-2 on the season, while Missouri Southern fell to 0-6-1.
 
Kaylie Rock got the match started with her fourth goal of the season at the 4:39 mark. It was unassisted.  
 
Northwest took a 2-0 lead when Hannah Stirling scored at the 20:53 mark with an assist from Rock. 
 
Teagan Blackburn added to the scoring party with an unassisted goal at the 25:20 mark.
 
Northwest made it 4-0 when Ekaterina Theoharidis tallied her first collegiate goal at the 33:53 mark of the first half. Margaret Madden and Ximena Arnau assisted on the Theoharidis' goal.
 
Goalkeeper Lily Ellis secured her 14th career shutout as she made seven saves. Ellis is two shutouts away from equaling the school record for career saves of 16 set by Kira Lazenby (2008-09).
 
Next on the schedule, Northwest will host Central Missouri at 1 p.m. The Bearcats will also host a fundraiser for Beckett's Warriors during Sunday's match. This match will be considered a Gold Out, in recognition of childhood cancer awareness month. T-shirts will be sold at Bearcat Pitch and all funds will be donated to Hope4ATRT. 

Northwest honored Teagan Blackburn, Kaylie Rock, Atiana Stratman, Maddie Taylor and Grace Wineinger as members of its 2023 senior class at halftime.
